Great Taste Judge’s Comment: ”Wonderfully creamy custard, buttery pastry, well-balanced vanilla, good caramel top. The appearance of this Pastel de Nata instantly reminded of Portugal, with the caramelised top, the beautiful aroma of vanilla-egg custard and the promising flaky crunch as we cut into it. The pastry is lovely and light with a flakiness that’s not too buttery, the ratio of mixture to pastry was also just right. It was perfectly baked”.
